Shaheen I. Imami is a 1995 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law and a 1991 graduate of Michigan State University.
His main areas of practice are contested probate litigation, estate administration, associated business and real estate law, and general civil litigation. He also successfully completed the 40-hour General Civil Case Mediator Training conducted by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is certified under Michigan Court Rule 2.411.
He is a member of the governing council of the Probate & Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan and Co-Chairperson of the Specialization and Certification Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Business Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
Shaheen is a contributing author to Michigan Probate Litigation (ICLE 2003) and has been a contributor and speaker for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education on topics involving estate administration and contested probate litigation. Shaheen is also a regular contributing author for the Michigan Probate & Estate Planning Journal and co-wrote the article, “The Probate Judge Ordered Mediation – Now What?” for the Michigan Probate & Estate Planning Journal in Fall 2002.
